Terms of Service

1. The service
OnRoad is a platform that connects drivers needing roadside assistance with nearby independent mechanics. We are not a transport company, a mechanic, or a party to any service performed off-platform. Mechanics are independent providers responsible for their own services, prices, insurance, and tax obligations.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. You must provide an accurate email address and phone number for sign-up and account recovery.
3. Your account
You are responsible for activity on your account, including keeping your password secure and signing out on shared devices. We use an email address and password for sign-in. Sharing your account or letting someone else use your credentials to access OnRoad is not allowed.
4. Conduct
You agree to behave lawfully and respectfully. Do not harass, discriminate against, defraud, or threaten anyone on the platform. Repeated reports, no-shows, or fraudulent activity will lead to temporary cooldowns or permanent bans.
5. Payments and pricing
Drivers pay mechanics directly. OnRoad does not process payments between drivers and mechanics in this version of the app. Mechanic subscriptions are billed by the App Store or Google Play; cancel any time through your store account. We do not issue refunds directly — refund requests go through the store.
6. Cancellations and disputes
Drivers can cancel an open or accepted request; repeated cancellations within 24 hours trigger a cooldown or temporary ban. Mechanics can cancel for safety, vehicle problems, or driver no-shows; abuse of the no-show flag will result in restrictions. Disputes about service quality should be resolved between the driver and mechanic; we will investigate when reports are filed.
7. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is permanent: your profile, history, and identifying data are removed, and your email address is blocked from creating a new account for twelve (12) months as an anti-fraud measure. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.
8. Disclaimer
OnRoad is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee mechanic availability, response times, or service quality. Use of the app at the side of an active roadway is at your own risk; always prioritise personal safety and follow local traffic laws.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OnRoad is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the platform or services performed by mechanics. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Latvian law.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Latvia. Disputes may be brought in the courts of Latvia, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rights under your local law.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced inside the app. Continued use after the change date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
